Crooked Horizon

So this happens when you can't hold your cam straight. Or maybe our ferry wasn't straight? Who knows... I like the details in the sky and the waves. Had to immitate this guy, of course much worse.

Painting for drawing class

Doing a series of portraits of German managers for drawing class, the subject is: loss of measure (Verlust von Maßstab). This one is the former German Post manager.

Multicultural

We had to do a portraiture of our hometown for Photo-class. We had to think of adjectives that would fit our town in our opinion. One of them was "multicultural". I didn't want to shoot an obvious pic so I shot the shelves of different shops (Asian, Arabian, Turkish) and merged the pics into one. I'm quite happy with the result.

Bayern Kini

Happy Accidents happen, was shooting out at night and noticed the sign of this bar. The owner was just coming out as I was preparing to shoot, so she invited me to also have a look at the inside. Amazing, Kini everywhere and then some... A great "Boiz" as we say in Augsburg.

Summertime

Today is "Siebenschläfertag", the weather on this day represents the weather for the next month. We will see. I don't think it will be as cold as in this picture of last winter, but it will be quite wet, I guess.

Another night shot with my Bronica. Strange colors. Mucho gusto. Was shot the same night as this one.

Psychedelia

Got my first Bronica film back, shot the whole film by night, forgot about such things as whitebalance. Strange colors happen, when using a daylight film with tungsten or fluorescent light. I like it anyway.

Back by popular demand... Just kidding, but since I received my first comment, I thought it would be nice to post more of this series. This pic is not perfect, you can only guess the basket, but I like the white corners. Mystifies the picture a bit.

Don't hassel the hoff and the blad

Got another film back, was able to borrow a Hasselblad 500 cm from our school. Compared to the Mamiya rz67 this camera is tiny and cute. You can hold it in one hand without risking major injuries to your forearm muscles. I metered with my Canon 40D, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

MaMaMiya

Got my first film, shot with a mamiya rz67 from our school, back. I only used the 250 mm lens, because I really liked the shallow depth of field of medium format combined with a telephoto lens. This was the last frame on the film, shot it in our garden.

Instant film is great!

I just love it, when something works out the way I want it to. Had some issues with the Pola-back, but thanks to google I was able to fix them and now I can officially take pictures on instant film. Only thing still left to fix is my brother's blinking frequency when using a flash...

Punch drunk hate

Got punched in the face while trying to take some pics las night. Three guys were approaching me, one of them was really drunk and aggressive. I was too slow taking my cam off the tripod, so I had to protect it and took a punch to my left cheekbone. Better me than my cam. The other two guys could calm him down and off they went. Pretty surreal experience.
